Shortfills are generally in either 60ml or 120ml bottles with just enough room to add nicotine to bring them to 3mg/ml which is quite a low strength. They’re favoured by vapers using higher power devices who are used to lower strength nicotine.
Longfills contain much less liquid in the bottle so require either more nic shots for a higher strength, or nic shots PLUS VG & or PG. They’re also usually in either 60ml or 120ml bottles but unlike shortfills there will only be up to half the bottle full before you add your own nic shots to complete. Longfills are preferred by pod kit users as you can achieve higher nic strengths with them, due to the fact there’s more room in them. Our Crystalize Longfills contain 50% super strong flavour, so all you need to do is fill the remaining space with nic shots to complete. For example, a 60ml Grape & Raspberry contains 30ml flavour, to fill it you’d add 3 nic shots which would give you 10mg/ml.

How Do I Mix a Longfill?
The answer to this question depends on the size, and what strength of nicotine & vg/pg ratio you require. Some Longfills contain 50% flavour while others contain less. Ensure you’re aware of what your longfill contains before you proceed. Lets consider a 120ml Longfill containing 60ml of flavour, and you want it to be 10mg/ml with a vg/pg ratio of 50/50 so it’ll work perfectly in a pod kit.
The bottle already contains 60ml flavour which is Pg based, so you know straight away you’ll need 60ml in nic shots. This is a simple one, you’d just need 6 100% VG 18mg nic shots to complete. Remove the caps and nozzles from all bottles, then decant all nic shots into the longfill, replacing the nozzle and cap. Give it a good shake and you’re ready to go! Remember to let any new pod or coil sit for a minute or more before using it to ensure the coil has absorbed the liquid fully and to avoid any dry hits.
