Menthol Vape Juice

What is Menthol Vape Juice?

Menthol is a naturally occurring chemical found in Peppermint and other Mint plants but it can also be made synthetically. It’s classic Minty flavour has been used throughout history and has applications in food, cosmetics, medicine and more. It’s incorporation into Vape Flavours follows from it’s use in Cigarettes as a means to alter the flavour and reduce the harshness of cigarette smoke. Unlike Koolada WS-23, Menthol imparts a Minty flavour as well as a cooling sensation, so bear in mind that all Menthol flavours should be both cold and Minty.

Is Menthol safe in Vape Juice?

Menthol is well studied and it’s adverse effects are well-known but mild. According to our MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) the hazardous and precautionary warnings are limited to effects on the Skin and Eyes. Precautionary warnings are also present and again refer to the skin and eyes. These refer to the raw, undiluted ingredient however and are not present on the E-Liquid’s SDS, meaning that the concentration of Menthol in the final product is low enough that these statements are not required. Menthol E-Liquid is perfectly safe!

Can I get the cooling without the Mint?

Not with Menthol! Though you can achieve a cooling sensation with Koolada WS-23 as it is a coolant only and imparts no flavour to the E-Liquid. Be careful to check the description as some of them may still contain Menthol.

Can I get pure menthol liquid to add to my own flavours?

Yes! Visit our Additives page to checkout the enhancements you can make to your E-Liquids or go straight to the Menthol Liquid additive. This can be added in small volumes (0.25 – 2%) of the final e-Liquid to give a cold, minty flavour. For example, adding 1% Menthol liquid to 100ml vape juice would require just 1ml. You will need to conduct some trial-and-error to find what’s right for you!

Menthol is best known for being an alternative in smoking but it has plenty of other uses that you may not know about. Menthol is a strong flavour and the menthol can be quite overpowering when used in large amounts but as a standard mix it can be really refreshing. Menthol flavoured concentrates make a wonderful minty vape without any tobacco underneath and mixing it with a fruit mix can give that recipe a wonderful alternative exhale that you wouldn’t have considered before. Menthol works perfect in any vaping set up and the strong bold taste will shine through in both low and high wattage vapes, with only high wattage amplifying the menthol cooling effect.
