Smok Nord GT

The Smok Nord GT is an upgrade of the original and very successful Nord Vape Kit. With a huge battery capacity of 2500mAh and a power output range of 5 – 80W, it’s extremely capable and provides a DTL (Direct to Lung) style vaping, much like the Vaporesso Luxe X 2. It’s an ideal vape kit for any vaper from beginners to advanced users, with a range of coils available in the RPM 3 Series. The pocket-friendly, high-power market is growing as more and more vapers look for better features and power combined with practicality.

Supplied with a 0.15 Ohm and a 0.23 Ohm RPM 3 coil, it’s ready to go straight out of the box and is chargeable via the standard USB-C cable supplied.

Technological Highlights

Smok have kept the Nord GT simple in it’s use of technology, unlike Voopoo who tend to employ advanced features as key selling points. Nevertheless, the Nord GT is highly capable and compares well to similar models by other manufacturers. The Pods for the Nord GT come in two colours: crystal clear and transparent black. the mouthpiece is designed to be slim and ergonomic for improved comfort.

With fully adjustable airflow from a step-less inlet switch and a power button for activation, the GT is a compact and aesthetically pleasing device to look at and to hold. There’s also a huge range of colours available for you to choose from.

Smok Nord GT Control & Aesthetics

Being an advanced vape pod kit, the Nord GT includes a 0.96″ OLED screen to display useful information including battery level, coil resistance, power output and a puff counter. The screen is inset inside a small recessed window to the side of the device. Control of the device is simple and a single button allows you to alter your power output, though the Nord GT provides automatic power selection based on the resistance of the installed coil. You’ll need to disable this mode in order to change the power to your liking.

With a 2ml refillable pod capacity, the Nord GT offers sustainable vaping on a budget. Simply remove the rubber stopper located on the side of the pod, insert the nozzle of your E-Liquid bottle and gently squeeze, ensuring no leakage. Let the pod sit for a few minutes in order for the coil to saturate to prevent dry hits.

We recommend pairing this device with 70/30 vape juice due to the DTL/high power nature of the device. It is also prudent to mention that the Nord GT is not meant as an immediate replacement to disposables as it will produce a very different experience. The high power output means it will produce a lot of vapour and is therefore best suited to lower strength Nicotine E-Liquid.

Nord GT Compatibility

Supplied with two RPM 3 Coils of 0.15 Ohm and a 0.23 Ohm, the Nord GT is compatible with these two coils only, with both offering DTL style sub-ohm vaping.
