£24.99
Hellvape‘s Dead Rabbit series is renowned throughout the vaping community for delivering exceptional flavour and offering some of the easiest-to-use rebuildable atomizers. We are excited to introduce the newest addition to this acclaimed series, the Dead Rabbit Solo RTA, which comes in six stunning, high-quality finishes.
The Dead Rabbit Solo RTA features a single-coil, post-less build deck that has been specifically redesigned for single coil setups, ensuring not only a straightforward building process but also optimal flavour production. This vape tank utilizes a top-layer honeycomb airflow system that not only prevents leaks but also enhances the flavour, maintaining the high standards set by previous Dead Rabbit tanks.
At the top of the tank, there’s an 810 drip tip that comes pre-installed but can be swapped out easily. Additionally, the tank features a convenient “push to refill” top cap, making refills clean and hassle-free through the large fill port. The Solo RTA is designed to be completely disassembled, which simplifies cleaning and maintenance. Get ready to explore a new frontier in flavour with the latest from the Dead Rabbit series!
Dead Rabbit Solo RTA Design & Features
The Dead Rabbit competes squarely with the Thunderhead Creations Blaze Solo RTA, which is another single coil RTA with an impressive host of features which puts it at the top of our list for the best tanks for flavour. Read more on this here.
The build deck on the Hellvape Dead Rabbit Solo RTA is very similar to the Blaze Solo but lacks the honeycomb surrounds responsible for providing a super smooth draw. That said, the Dead Rabbit seems to provide a similar draw in terms of smoothness and is just as simple to build on. The post-less deck proves to be a winning formula for it’s simplicity and rigidity but it also makes aligning your coil central to the tank that much easier.
One feature we like about the Dead Rabbit Solo is it’s refill method. The top can sits on a slot and pushes backwards on the tank to reveal a refill port. This makes refilling a little easier than on the Blaze Solo RTA, though the hole isn’t quite as large and there’s only one here.
The Dead Rabbit Solo is also slightly shorter in height than the Blaze Solo but has the same capacity which provides a slightly more “sleek” appearance. It’s top airflow also ensures ultimate and unparalleled leak-proofing to ensure no accidents when held in a bag or pocket.
Pair your Dead Rabbit Solo RTA with any of the coils we stock by Vapour Wild for the ultimate flavour chasing setup.
What’s the Advantage of Using Rebuildable Tank Atomisers?
The Blaze Solo RTA is an advanced tank which requires the user to understand how to build and/or install their own coils. Knowledge of Ohms Law, proper wicking practices and general electrical safety is required before using this device. However once you’re familiar with rebuilding or just installing premade coils, the benefits of doing so will become apparent in short time.
The practice of rebuilding coils in a tank like the Blaze Solo RTA is vastly cheaper than buying premade plug & play style coils long-term. This is because the resistance wire used to wrap coils is cheap and you can buy a a whole years worth for roughly £10. It’s also a rewarding experience as it allows you to truly dial in your vaping style down to the wrap, resistance, temperature and wicking style.
Tanks like this one are made from high-grade stainless steel and can be made to last many years, with the only weak-point being the glass tank itself. You can protect this is with a rubber tank shield which can prevent cracks from dropping it accidentally.
The disadvantage of getting in to rebuildable’s is the complexity of their use and the fact they’re not convenient. Plug and play style tanks offer a much easier and quicker coil change, as the coil needs to be pulled out and a new one is pushed in. Replacing coils in the Dead Rabbit Solo RTA requires the tank to be taken apart, coil removed and deck cleaned before a new coil can be installed. It’s a trade-off as both types of tanks have their advantages and disadvantages.
